On a breezing Saturday afternoon, after my acupuncture treatment at Tung Shin Hospital, we decided to have lunch at an old restaurant around KL Central Market which sell good chicken rice.
When we reach the shop lot around Central market..we realize the shop was closed for good..and hence we have to walk back to Petaling Street for the famous beef noodles :)
From there, we walk through KL Central Market to Petaling Street. To my surprise, I see some art shops at the back entrance of KL Central Market. Been a person used to walk around Petaling Street during her Uni time..I was wondering why I never been to this place? Is this place new?
After a few searches, apparently this place is called Annexe Gallery, and was launched in January 2007 as a centre for contemporary arts (now I know why I never been to this place...have not been walking around KL after I graduated in 2005, thanks to the busy working life :( ).
There are lots of events on-going in Annexe Gallery. For more information about Annexe Gallery, you can refer to http://www.annexegallery.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=45&Itemid=54
By referring to the official website, there are Akasia Art Galley, APL Leader Potrait Artist, Art House Galley..and etc in Annexe Gallery (more information refer to http://centralmarket.com.my/directory.php?id=14). These gallery/art corner offer place to ~~ do your portrait/unique caricature, to purchase portrait art (specially on political leaders), explore extensive collection of art paintings, batik paintings, painting depicting landscapes or abstract forms and crafts, and a lot more.
Below some pictures I snapped during my "rush" tour there (we were so hungry~~).

After I browsed through the website..and I can't find a shop which offering something which I find it very interesting ~~ BURNING ACT!
What is Burning Act? The question we asked the owner of the art gallery, and answer is ~~~ a work that he uses fire to burn an image on some wood products (which I think is some kind of plywood). And according to the owner, he is the only one doing this in Malaysia.
We find this really interesting, so we ask for price ~~ around RM150 for self-portrait and RM200+ for couple portrait (please ask the owner for price if you are interested..I am a super forgetful person...lol). The image could be burned according to your "current face" or image on a picture and etc. Maybe I could ask him to burn my wedding picture in future :D
